After coming back from Dudipatsar Lake, Naran and dropping Zubair at Taxila, I started my solo journey to Kalam.
I left Taxila at about 4pm towards Nowshera on Taxila - Peshawar Highway. Moving through Nowshera towards Mardan heading towards Katlang. Time was 7pm and darkness started to prevail and then I had to cross Tangi Darra Mountain Pass consisting of hundreds of sharp turns located on Katlang - Buner Road. Then moving through Mingora, Madyan and Bahrain, I finally reached Kalam at about 1am.
Next Morning I started traveling towards Mahodand Lake - The famous tourist attraction of Kalam Valley that is around 35 kms off road track. At a few minutes drive on the way to Mahodand Lake from Kalam is Ushu Forest that is another famous tourist attraction.
3 hours of off road ride, passing through beautiful valleys of Kalam Valley, I reached Mahodand Lake.
The Mahodand Lake lies at the foothills of Hindu Kush mountains at an elevation of (9,603 ft.), surrounded by the meadows, mountains and dense forests. Similarly, the banks of Mahodand lake are covered by pines and pastures that serve as a camping site during the summer.
From Mahodand Lake, I rode towards Nasrullah Lake located at a distance of around 20 minutes from Mahodand Lake.
If you are alone and you reach Nasrullah Lake, The view will completely make you lost somewhere in an unknown world and the view is as, an off road track is ending into a beautiful pearl colored Lake and you feel like you have touched the boundaries of freedom. It makes you feel accomplished.
Yes, it is undescribleable.
