Over the course of a month and a half and 120hrs, Bryce Widom transformed a blank wall painted in chalk paint into a dynamic mural reflecting Bryce’s impression of the spirit of Boulder. This ongoing live mural was the centerpiece of the Leaving a Mark exhibit, Feb-March, 2020, which explored the value of creating art that is impermanent and the pleasure of mark-making. The intention was that the exhibit would culminate with a live event where Bryce erased the whole mural as soon as he completed it, but the Museum closed to the public the same day he finished, due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Once gathering resumes, Bryce will erase this masterpiece.
