In January 2021, Dougall and Jaz Love sailed their Rapido 60, "Romanza", to New Zealand's stunning South Island.
Their journeys included the treacherous French Pass (Te Aumiti) which has the Tasman Sea on one side and Cook Strait on the other.
French Pass is 500m (1,600') wide and has a "throat" of a navigation channel of just 100m (300').
French Pass records New Zealand's fastest tidal flows at 8 knots (4 metres (13') per second).
