London Walk: Stunning Views from the Golden Jubilee Bridge

Join me on a London walk filled with stunning views from the iconic Golden Jubilee Bridge.

In this relaxing city stroll, we cross one of the two Golden Jubilee pedestrian bridges that span the River Thames, offering incredible sights of the Palace of Westminster, the London Eye, and the vibrant South Bank. This bridge connects two peaceful green spaces—Whitehall Garden on the north side and Jubilee Garden on the south—making it a true garden-to-garden walk in the heart of London.

Between the two footbridges runs the Hungerford Railway Bridge, which serves Charing Cross Station. This area is rich in history:

The original bridge on this site, the Hungerford Suspension Bridge, was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and opened in 1845.

It was later replaced by the railway bridge we see today, and in 2002, the two modern Golden Jubilee Bridges were added to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee.

The bridge’s elegant, cable-stayed design offers pedestrians a peaceful place to enjoy London's skyline. Whether you're watching the boats pass beneath, gazing at Big Ben, or simply enjoying the energy of the South Bank, the Golden Jubilee Bridge is a must-see on any walk through London.
