Francesco Gualerzi: Live at QNote | February 26, 2022

“Angeli del Novecento” (Angels of the 20th Century) is the title of my latest album from which these three songs have been rearranged and reinterpreted for this particular acoustic live occasion. A trio formed by myself, on vocals and guitar with my friends and colleagues Marco Bortesi on bass and Riccardo Bontempelli on drums.
This latest work of mine can be placed in that genre in which the lyrics and music are an unambiguous expression, aimed at communicating soulfulness and emotions, touching on themes that are also very different; friendship, love, irony and all things existential, a bit like singer-songwriters used to do.

Francesco said: “The first is a pure love song dedicated to my wife seen from a particularly dreamy and fairy-tale angle. The second is a glimpse of one of the usual worldly parties that we happen to attend with lucid elation and ask ourselves at a certain point "what the fuck am I doing here?" The third is instead a sad song of unrequited love on 'her' part but also misinterpreted by 'him'. On behalf of the entire group, I would like to thank my friend and colleague Paolo Artoni and all the staff who, with professionalism and passion, made it possible for me to produce this first presentation of "Angeli del Novecento".”
