The video is showing how to build a floating floor on a concrete slab. The material vibrafoam is used as vibration isolator. Wooden joists and chipboards are used to build the floor. In this case the floating floor is used to isolate a milling maschine, but the same technique can be used in a music studio or for a low frequency fan. The Ide is to prevent structural borne noise to transfer through the building construction and then convert to acoustical noise.
