How to draft a DARTLESS bodice block for woven fabrics? Simple drafting tutorial 2021

Dear Sewing Friends, in this video I would love to show you how I draft a dart-less bodice block. Now a dart-less bodice block can be a tricky one, as achieving a good fit without darts is nearly impossible, but at the end of this tutorial you will see that there are ways how you can do it and still achieve a good relaxed fit! This type of fit and bodice is quite acceptable for a simple shirt and in the future videos I will show you how you can transform this pattern block into a timeless top/blouse that you will use for a variety of occasions and sewing projects. About front shoulder slope - now, if we were to draft a darted bodice block, the angle of the shoulder slope would be the same for the front as it is for the back, just higher in some cases, as usually our front is longer than our back, but if you look at our current pattern closely you will see that our front shoulder point is higher than the back, which is how it is in most cases, but the angle of the shoulder slop is different. Why so? Well.... if we would take the same angle as on the back, we would have significantly longer front armhole and then it would be VERY difficult to decrease that length and it would skew the pattern, not to mention that one of the places where we would decrease that armhole length would be by lowering the front shoulder, so at the end we would get nearly the same result as we have right now.
