Program Description
This educational activity is designed to improve the knowledge and competence of Physicians and Surgeons, Scientists, Nurses, Trainees (Fellows and Residents) and Students.

Target Audience
Based on survey of physicians and scientists, we believe that introducing the concept of cancer health disparities and highlighting the advances in cancer health disparities research will deliver beneficial messages to the intended audience. Furthermore, increasing cancer screening rates is one of the most
effective methods to impact cancer incidence and deaths.

Program Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able:
 To convene an expert panel on cancer health disparities
 To examine the current research infrastructure for engaging cancer health disparities research
 To explore the experience of cancer screening in minority populations
 To discuss future directions in improving participation of minority populations in cancer research studies
