Which small aluminum boat is a better choice? Should you buy a 12 foot boat or 14 foot boat? If you're considering a tiny boat or little aluminum boat, a 12 ft V hull or 12 ft jon boat might be a better option for you instead of a 14 ft V hull or 14 ft jon boat. We don't usually get to take small boats out for a test ride so many times we're just looking at out budget and guessing as to whether or not one boat is a better choice for us over another boat.
