Descriptions of the servants of Allah صفات عباد الرحمن

﴿وَعِبَادُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ هَوْنًا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ الْجَاهِلُونَ قَالُوا سَلَامًا﴾ (63)
And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk on the earth humbly, and when the ignorant address them, they reply with words of peace.

﴿وَالَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَامًا﴾ (64)
And those who spend the night before their Lord, prostrating and standing in prayer.

﴿وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا﴾ (65)
And those who say: “Our Lord, turn away from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever lasting and severe.”
﴿إِنَّهَا سَاءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا﴾ (66)
Indeed, it is an evil place to settle and reside.

﴿وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَنفَقُوا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ قَوَامًا﴾ (67)
And those who, when they spend, are neither wasteful nor stingy, but are balanced in between.
﴿وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا﴾ (68)
And those who do not call upon any other god besides Allah, nor kill a soul which Allah has forbidden except by right, nor commit adultery. Whoever does so will meet a severe penalty.
﴿يُضَاعَفْ لَهُ الْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِ مُهَانًا﴾ (69)
For them the punishment will be multiplied on the Day of Judgment, and they will remain in it humiliated.

﴿إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ حَسَنَـٰتٍ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا﴾ (70)
Except for those who repent, believe, and do righteous deeds – for them Allah will replace their bad deeds with good ones. And Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

﴿وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَإِنَّهُ يَتُوبُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَتَابًا﴾ (71)
And whoever repents and does good, indeed he turns back to Allah with true repentance.
﴿وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِاللَّغْوِ مَرُّوا كِرَامًا﴾ (72)
And those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by idle talk, they pass with dignity.

﴿وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوا عَلَيْهَا صُمًّا وَعُمْيَانًا﴾ (73)
And those who, when reminded of the signs of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind.

﴿وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا﴾ (74)
And those who say: “Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes, and make us leaders for the righteous.”

﴿أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ ٱلْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلَـٰمًا﴾ (75)
They are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest chamber in Paradise for their patience, and they will be greeted there with peace and salutations.

﴿خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ حَسُنَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّۭا وَمُقَامًا﴾ (76)
Abiding therein forever – excellent it is as a dwelling place and a station.

﴿قُلْ مَا يَعْبَؤُا۟ا بِكُمْ رَبِّى لَوْلَا دُعَآؤُكُمْ ۖ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًۭا﴾ (77)
Say, “My Lord would not care for you were it not for your supplication. But you have denied, so the punishment will be inevitable.”
