In an exclusive interview with TV9 Bharatvarsh, Hasan Mahmud, who served as Foreign Minister during Sheikh Hasina's government, made several shocking revelations about the political situation and conditions in Bangladesh.

Hasan Mahmud stated that he and Sheikh Hasina want to return to Bangladesh as soon as the situation improves, but currently, there is a serious threat to their lives.
He acknowledged that India played a crucial role in the creation of Bangladesh and that it is impossible for Bangladesh to sour relations with India, given the 4000-kilometer-long border.

In the interview, he also expressed doubts about the fairness of the upcoming elections and even said that the situation in Bangladesh is now worse than in Afghanistan, where people are becoming increasingly desensitized to violence.

हसन महमूद का कहना है कि हालात ठीक होते ही वह और शेख हसीना बांग्लादेश लौटना चाहते हैं, लेकिन फिलहाल जान का गंभीर खतरा बना हुआ है.
उन्होंने माना कि भारत ने बांग्लादेश के निर्माण में अहम भूमिका निभाई और 4000 किलोमीटर लंबी सीमा के चलते भारत से रिश्ते खराब करना बांग्लादेश के लिए नामुमकिन है.
इंटरव्यू में उन्होंने आगामी चुनावों की निष्पक्षता पर भी संदेह जताया और यहां तक कहा कि आज बांग्लादेश के हालात अफगानिस्तान से भी बदतर हो चुके हैं, जहां हिंसा को लेकर लोगों में संवेदनहीनता बढ़ रही है.
