The story of building Trozena Bridge, Cyprus, near village of Gerovasa by my late Dad, Anthony (Bullock) Deighton, 37th British Royal Field Engineers Regiment (1957-1960), stationed in Cyprus.
Unbeknown to us at the time of recording this with my son Antony, my Dad Anthony (Grandad to him) whom just two months later was diagnosed with Bile Duct Cancer and passed 3 months after 18th Nov 2013.
Early 1995, we found 'Dad’s Bridge’ and arrived just in time to watch a 5 tonne Bulldozer cross it… an engineering feet my Dad was always very proud of.
We’ve visited the Trozena bridge many times since over the years and it’s still standing and being used to this day some 60+ years later.
