PERFECT Rainy Day Dinner! | NEW Southern Style Three Bean Chili | Southern Family Cooking

We're making Southern Style Three Bean chili on the rainy day y'all!
Hey family!! What's better than soup on a rainy day? CHILI! Well, I think they are both perfect! Titus joins me in the kitchen to make this yummy chili for supper and he starts telling some stories from the old days. This could take a while y'all, so don't worry I edit him out some! 😂😂😂

Southern Style Three Bean Chili recipe:

Ingredients:
6-8 slices bacon
2 pounds ground beef
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 onion, diced
1 yellow, or red, bell pepper, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can tomato paste
1 can tomato sauce
1/4 cup chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp dried oregano leaves
1/4 cup to 1/2 cup water
2 cups beef broth
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 can light red kidney beans, drained
1 can chili beans, drained
1 can black beans, drained

Directions:
Cook bacon in a large skillet. Remove from skillet leaving the drippings. Add ground beef and cook until cooked through. Set aside. In a large pot heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Add onions and peppers and cook for 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook another minute. Add all the seasonings and the tomato paste and mix well. Add the broth and 1/4 cup of water. Add the tomato sauce. Add the cocoa powder and sugar. Once it comes to a simmer add all the drained and rinsed beans. Mix well and then add the ground beef. Let simmer for at least 20 minutes, adding another 1/4 cup of water if needed. Serve with toppings of your choice!
