HONOLULU (KHON-2)-- The Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of Forestry and Wildlife encourages everyone to keep track of the Ope'ape'a, a bat that is endemic to Hawai'i.
The Ope'ape'a is an important part of our forests. It keeps several insects in check, like moths, mosquitoes, and even termites.
The website iNaturalsit.org is where you can upload photos or videos if you spot a Ope'ape'a.
