Join me on a fantastic day out exploring the historic Eggleston Abbey and the charming market town of Barnard Castle!
We start our journey at Egglestone Abbey, a stunning medieval ruin nestled in the Teesdale countryside. With my drone, I captured some breathtaking aerial footage of the abbey—giving you a bird’s-eye view of this atmospheric site.
From there, we head into Barnard Castle, a town steeped in history. We stroll across the iconic Bread Bridge, a beautiful stone bridge with a fascinating past, before stopping by the Butter Market, once a bustling trading hub in the heart of the town.
Finally, we visit Blagraves House, one of the oldest buildings in Barnard Castle, with its rich connections to Charles I and tales of secret tunnels!
