Title "June 18th 1815 - The Day of Waterloo" superimposed over est battlefield pan to MLS Duke of Wellington and officers on horseback - on hillock - reviewing troops marching past into battle. TS French foot troops marching to and under camera. French field cannons firing l to r. French cavalary charge English lines of riflemen, who stand fast, and repel the charge. Est. French field cannons firing. French Artillery officer points direction - French field cannon fires off l to r and cannonball bursts in front of Wellington and his officers as they sit on horseback supervising battle. Wellington and officers on horseback start to leave hillrise. French officer points direction - French field gun fires off l to r and cannonball falls near last horseman. English mounted and foot-troops advance r - l through woods. (Good shafts of light angled down through trees). English mounted Subultan salutes and Wellington and his officers ride down from hillrise. Prussian cavalry charge l to r over hill (past windmill) and beat back French foot soldiers who retreat down hillside. Wellington gives the signal - English foot soldiers fire rifleburst - then charge off l to r into battle. Wellington canters down of English cavalry - who start forward r - l moving into battle. French Field Cannons fire l to r, during battle. British cavalry in busbies charge r to l across open ground. Line of French footsoldiers in trenches, fire volley of shot off l to r - English cavalary charging across open country followed by foot soldiers over run French trench. English Cavalry charge across open plain - travelling shot and panning shot. Various shots (mostly top) of British foot soldiers charging - past burnt out and smouldering farm houses - mopping up reminants of French Army. TS French foot soldiers marching to and under camera. French field cannons firing. English rifelmen firing back. French cavalary charge English lines of riflemen, who stand fast and repel. Est French field cannons firng l to r - query officer on horseback in bg supposed to be Napoleon. French Artillery Officer points direction - French field cannon fires & cannonball bursts in front of Wellington and his officers as they sit on horseback on hillock supervising battle. Wellington and officers on horseback start to leave crest of hillrise - French officer points direction, French field cannon fires off l to r and cannoonball falls near last horseman.
