Stone Temple Pilots - Crackerman [Acoustic Cover]

An acoustic cover of Crackerman by Stone Temple Pilots from the incredible Core album.

I'll just get this out of the way...I cant believe this is my first Stone Temple Pilots cover, and whats more I cant believe its this song and not Plush or Creep (stay tuned!) but I ended up recording an acoustic version of Crackerman recently, and here it is. I've ended up learning this song as it is on the setlist for a band I have recently started working with and I didnt realize how much I loved it.

I've always liked STP, but I never loved them despite having seen them live until recently. The aforementioned setlist played a huge part in this, as did my mate ‪@CansAndBansV10‬ who has always said I should listen to them more. When I got this new setlist, I was forced to and thus, it finally happened.

This song is simply a banger. Sun out, windows down, driving & singing along. What an absolute classic and its one I will be playing a lot going forward.

The version from MTV Unplugged is a favourite but I wanted to capture the energy of the original full band version too here and Scott Weiland's incredible vocal delivery which is why this is probably a bit higher energy than the original acoustic version.
