The 2025 edition of The State We’re In continues Advance Illinois’ tradition of taking a holistic approach to exploring Illinois’ education performance and progress across the full birth-to-postsecondary continuum. The report tracks leading indicators, such as staffing, funding, and attendance, and reports on key outcome measures, including proficiency, growth, and overall educational attainment.
Webinar attendees heard a presentation of the report's key findings followed by a panel conversation featuring Erin Acosta, Director, One Hope United, Representative Carol Ammons, Illinois General Assembly, 103rd District, Yesenia Lopez, Board Member, Chicago Public Schools, as well as Advance Illinois Board Member and Executive Director of Aspen Institute’s Education & Society Program, Dr. Janice K. Jackson.
