Visiting Galveston, TX

We live approximately an hour and a half from Galveston, TX. We heard from a lot of people that June to September are the months that you are most likely to see dolphins. We decided to check them out today. We woke up early to get there for the first dolphin tour.

Online, there are a few paid tours you can choose from. Another option is to take the free ferry between Galveston and Port Bolivar.

We agreed to go with the paid option with Baywatch Dolphin Tours. That was a good choice because we saw plenty of dolphins and got a narrated tour of the bay.

After the tour, we headed up to Seawall Blvd. We had lunch at Fish Tales. They offer some great food, and the view looks out to the Gulf. Also, across from the restaurant is the Galveston Island Historic Pier.

We took a little walk down the beach. There we found a collection of beach chairs and umbrellas. It was getting hot, so we decided to relax in the shade. After that, it was the perfect time to head home.
