This week, Elvis in Kansas City on June 29 1974, his first show of the 2!
This upload accidentally aligned with its 51st anniversary too, lol.
Sadly, the soundboard recording is incomplete, and no audience recording has been released. That means Can't Help Falling in Love and the Closing Vamp are missing from the recording.
And now a little about the cover, the title is inspired by a 1964 Beatles track called “Kansas City / Hey-Hey-Hey-Hey”, it had been stuck in my head for a little while before I came to the idea of using it as a title for Elvis' 1974 Kansas City concerts! Because yes, I'll upload the evening show in a few weeks too!
The back cover might look a little different, why is that? It's because the front cover uses a photo from the show, and the back cover a screenshot from an 8 millimeter film by Rex Martin! It's taken from a more rare HD scan of the film.
I hope you'll enjoy this show and cover, and have a nice week of course ;)
NOTE: Also Sprach Zarathustra is not in the recording, but it is on the back (oops), and Love Me is not on the back cover!
