MR IRISH BASTARD
Irish / German Celtic Punk Band formed by Irishman singer/guitarist Chris Lennon and the banjo player Gran E. Smith in Münster / Germany in 2006. Inspired by bands such as The Pogues, The Levellers and Flogging Molly, Mr. Irish Bastard sought to create a sound that combined the raucous spirit of punk with the melodic, storytelling traditions of Irish folk music. The band has since toured the world and released four studio albums: The Bastard Brotherhood (2008), A Fistful Of Dirt (2010), The World The Flash & The Devil (2015) and The Desire For Revenge (2018). On the lead up to their appearances at the Rebellion Punk Festival in Blackpool, Mr Irish Bastard joined forces with The Cloverhearts for set of intimate UK gigs.
