Last night I was lucky enough to see the Northern Lights for the first time - and didn't have to go to Iceland to see them! They were visible from Ipswich in the South of England! It started off cloudy and I thought I was out of luck, but by 11pm it had cleared up and they were visible. I keep an 'allsky' camera running 24/7 as part of one of my other hobbies - astrophotography - and this captured some of the cosmic rays as they passed overhead.
