the fastest way to get sidekick toools, hats and weapons gear is to go through the 3 mazes and at the end press the button on the money bin and choose to go through the 3 mazes again. the chests can change location but typically once you locate them they stay in the same place each time you choose to run through again. personally i found that using Hulk and his super jump to be the fastest way to travel.
