Ever wondered where cashew nuts come from? Maybe you wondered, "Why are cashews not sold to consumers in their shells?" Well then this video is for you! We go in depth as to what that big fruit on the top is (a cashew apple) and then talk about how the cashew shell casing is filled with an anacardic acid that is extremely irritating to skin. This would likely lead to some bad yelp reviews if people had to peel them themselves, so they avoid that situation by removing it and then cleaning the nuts for us!
