The Arisaka Type 99 in 7.7 Jap was the primary firearm used by the Japanese military during WWII (though earlier models of the Arisaka were widely used as well) and proved to be an iconic and well-built weapon with several different built in gadgets. While this rifle has a great amount of history to tell, it is often neglected in firearm history. In this video, we'll be looking at two Ariskaka Type 99 rifles and comparing the differences between the late war and early war productions.
