For anyone who's struggled to achieve soft edges to their watercolour artwork - whether that is a traditional painting or an abstract-style design - this video intends to show you how to apply paint or inks, along with water, to create those lovely flowing backgrounds.
The paper I used was the fabulous Hahnemuhle Anniversary Watercolour Block - https://amzn.to/49ns208
The watercolour Inks I used in this were Ecoline in a selection of blues, turquoise and yellow, and the tube paint was dark sap green.
Plenty of water needs to be used, and for this I used a spray bottle and a pen spray, both filled with fresh clean water. A flat brush is ideal, or a small to medium sized round watercolour brush is fine.
