This week we take you to Serendip Sanctuary 60kms west of Melbourne. So many bird hides there! Strange place... used to be a kind of Education Centre with some captive birds. There are still a few captive birds in enclosures but looks like they are not introducing any new residents and will finally turn the property into a full sanctuary where animals & birds can come & go within the full predator proof surrounding fence.
So, on this day trip, we meet Dave the Emu and lots of his wild friends:
Yellow-billed Spoonbills
Pied Stilts
Black-fronted Dotterels
Red-browed Finches
Magpie Geese
Dusky Moorhen
Australasian Grebes
Superb Fairywrens
Little Grassbird
Restless Flycatcher
Eurasian Tree Sparrow
