Breakout is the classic 2D block breaking game where you need to bounce the ball using the player paddle to break all the blocks.
We'll recreate this in Unity by creating the destructible blocks, implementing the physics of the ball and player paddle.
This is a four part series, this third episode focuses on implementing breakable blocks using 2D collision detection between the blocks and the ball, and tracking and displaying the score on the screen.
As with all the Let's Create tutorials in the series, we'll focus on creating the core game mechanic, leaving the extra polishing to you. If you have any request for small games you'd like t see in this series please leave a comment.
