Jason visits Arizona State University to talk about oboe maintenance.

Recently Jason was honored to attend and speak at the Arizona State University/Howarth event in Tempe AZ. Jeremy Walsworth, the owner of Howarth, came all the way over from England bringing with him several Howarth oboes for students and area oboists to try. Katherine Needleman was in attendance to lead a masterclass and perform on the recital. Hannah Selznick of Hannah’s Oboes was also in attendance to assist oboists with any oboe-related questions and purchases. And of course, Martin Schuring, professor of oboe at ASU, was our ring leader and host.

Jason presented an oboe maintenance clinic where he shared ideas on how to keep your oboe in tip-top shape. These ideas included everyday things that players can do themselves as well as recommendations for professional service.
