I love Quake, I love Dark Souls and I love Metroid, so imagine my joy when I stumbled upon a game that takes inspiration from all of them.

Currently in development by Mathew Lawrence and inspired by a game he created during the Ludum Dare game jam, "ENCHAIN" is a snappy, hard hitting, retro fps where you use a lantern and chain to explore a dark soulslike world.

There's a lot of potential in this one, the mechanics are tight, fast and fun and the platforming and exploration elements give the current demo a lot of character. Is this the next unexpected indie darling? Find out in this video.
