Joy Club - In The Night (Harry Romero Remix) [Positiva / Virgin EMI]

Electronic Dance act Joy Club unveil American House legend Harry Romero as the remixer for their hit 'In The Night' which is out now on Positive/Virgin EMI.

We don't know much about the group Joy Club apart from they've only been formed for maybe a year or so, they've previously remixed French crossover king Martin Solveig for his 'Juliet & Romeo' track and their ethos seems to be to promote inclusivity and openness.

'In The Night' has amassed nearly half a million views across YouTube channels and this new remix with Harry Romero alongside another from upcoming talent Nathan Dawe are the latest feathers to the tracks bow.

Subliminal Records mainstay Romero is known for his finely tuned House grooves. Tracks like 'Tania', 'I Go Back', 'Night @ The Black' and 'Just Can't Get Enough' all cemented Harry's position as a pillar of the House scene throughout the 90's and 00's and he's continued to make serious moves right up to today. His remix of 'In The Night' is atypical of Romero's skilful wizardry behind the production desk. Bubbling bass lines underpin a festering drum groove that swells with bass synth tones and shimmering hat sequences. The original vocals are entwined around the groove but left spacious to allow the Moog bass lines to really shine. 

Overall this is a superb remix and another step towards the halcyon days of crossover remixes becoming viable and strong on dance floors once more.
