Powerlessness
In AA, we start by admitting we are powerless over alcohol—meaning, once we take that first drink, we lose control. This isn’t about weakness; it’s about being honest. Accepting powerlessness is the first step toward real change, because it opens the door to getting help and finding a new way to live.

Character Defects
As we move forward, we start to look at our behaviors and attitudes—our character defects. These are the patterns that have kept us stuck, like anger, pride, fear, or selfishness. We’re not bad people, just people trying to get better. Recognizing these flaws helps us grow and become the version of ourselves we were meant to be.

Spirituality
AA isn’t about religion—it’s about spirituality. That means finding a power greater than ourselves, something we can turn to for strength, guidance, and peace. Everyone’s path is different. Some call it God, others just call it love, nature, or the fellowship itself. What matters is knowing we don’t have to do this alone.



I’ve been in recovery from chronic alcoholism for over 30 years, and about 5 years ago, I started this channel to help others on their journey to sobriety. I’m not a counselor, psychiatrist, or addiction expert—I’m simply someone who has lived through it, fought the battle, and come out stronger. 💪🔥
