Glioblastoma, deemed the most dangerous brain tumor, is an aggressive type of cancer that originates in the brain or spinal cord. It develops from glial cells, which support nerve cells. Glioblastoma grows rapidly and invasively, making complete surgical removal challenging. Symptoms may vary depending on the tumor's location but commonly include headaches, nausea, and cognitive changes. Despite advancements in treatment, such as surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, prognosis remains poor, with a median survival time of around 12 to 15 months. Glioblastoma's high recurrence rate further complicates treatment and contributes to its dismal prognosis. Research continues to seek more effective therapies, but tackling this formidable adversary remains a significant medical challenge.
