The claims making the headlines that Dangote imported high-sulphur level products are propaganda. What occurred was the importation of a cargo of intermediate feedstock, specifically high-catalytic sulphur gasoline and straight-run naphtha, which is a standard global practice for refineries. This feedstock is used to blend in their residue feed catalytic cracking unit. If NMDPRA had a lab like the PIA specified, in cases like this, the regulator would have checked Dangote's product for high sulphur to dispute the propagandist narrative against the Dangote Refinery. I don't think NMDPRA has done well unlike the upstream regulator NUPRC
