For the difference between Nature element and Energy element:
You can use Nature element to deal more damage than the Energy element to the water element husk during the random waves
But you may get a little damage to the amplifier during wave 6 if your traps damage is low, because wave 6 is Nature element so the Nature traps damage will be only 25%

I highly recommend using max durability you can because you may get many random waves on the same amplifier
