The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) has raised concern about the increase in the number of bogus doctors across the country.
The Council says in recent months at least five people who were masquerading as health practitioners were arrested for practising medicine.
Recently a bogus doctor in Kimberley was arrested on charges of rape.
