In this episode of The Speed Addiction, I review the 2121 G82 M4 Competition.
The 2021 BMW M4 competition has 503 bhp, a 0-62 mph time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 180 mph, with the optional M Driver’s Package. The previous generations 7 speed dual clutch transmission has been replaced by an 8-speed automatic.
Its chassis feels significantly stiffer than the previous generation. The suspension has also been totally updated with new aluminum wishbones with ball joints at the front. It has large castor and kingpin angles as well as a lowered roll center. Its wheels are 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear. Its 3-liter S58 engine is closed deck for extra strength, it has a forged lightweight crankshaft, and its cylinder head has also been 3D printed. Of course, it has BMW’s active M Differential
