We spent 4 incredible days exploring the legendary Avatar Mountains of China — and every moment felt straight out of a dream. From hiking through the soaring sandstone pillars of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park to watching fox spirits fly through the night sky at the Tianmen Fairy Fox Show, this was one of the most surreal adventures we’ve ever had.
In this video, we take you through our 3 full days inside the national park, covering all the must-see spots like Tianzi Mountain, Golden Whip Stream, Yuanjiajie, Bailong Elevator, and more. On our final day, we closed the trip with a night of folklore, lights, and live storytelling at the 72 Strange Buildings, a cultural village unlike anything we expected.
