TIMAGE by Yi Tang | A Complete Review

Hi guys, Shiyu here. In today's video, I'm reviewing for the Timage products which is the brand by a well-known Chinese makeup artist, Mr. Yi Tang.

They sent out these as PR to me and I have to say these products gave me a completely new experience with makeup made in my motherland!

First of all, I love the packaging and designs by Timage. Everything feels lux, from foundation bottle to palettes, they feel heavy, well-made and nice to just to look at.

For products I tried out, an oil-control primer, a long-lasting matte foundation, a trio cream concealer palette, a duo highlighter palette and a trio contour face palette, and 14 brushes (includes both synthetic and mixed bundle hairs), below is my summary.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the oil-control primer. It is a really feather light primer that goes on nicely, but settles as super thin layer of mattifying effect. It definitely helps my makeup to endure my natural oils coming thru, and I just love how light this feels. Because in comparison, most of the oil-control primers feel much much more balmy and clogging.

I also LOVE the cream concealer trio. No one does it better when it comes to designing the right shades to conceal my under eye area, as an asian skin tone. The colors are tuned so well that my undereye bags are visibly brighten and perfected with the concealer cream. I also love how you can customize the shade with two more balmy/higher coverage creams provided, one light and one dark, mix them together and you can have your own go-to spot conceal shade! And guess what, it actually covers up!!! Shade, coverage, texture and design, there is not a flaw in this little trio palette!

Other products I feel much less surprised. The highlighter duo is an all-matte highlighter duo, one side with matte powder and one side with matte cream. I think this is more of a professional design than our typical shimmery highlighter duos. So when I was using it I wasn't sure if everything was used to the right amount and spot. In comparison, a typical shimmery highlighter cream and powder duo would be more forgiving.

The face palette (trio-matte highlighting powder, matte contour powder and shimmer highlighter powder) is also okay. I've used too many face palettes that this one didn't really stand out to me. Don't get me wrong, it is a great product itself, but I'm just not exceptionally surprised.

I'm again very grateful for this opportunity to try out Timage products, and it is IMO a well-built, well-thought-out brand with exceptional packaging design, and product quality. I think brands we are familiar with that Timage can easily compare to are like MAC, NARS, Laura Mercier, etc. So I hope this gives you an idea about Tiamge.
