DASHCAM VIDEO | 52-year-old Cleveland man arrested after leading Brooklyn Heights Police on chase

A 52-year-old Cleveland man has been arrested after leading Brooklyn Heights Police officers on a chase on Wednesday night.

The Brooklyn Heights Police Department says the chase began at 7:38 p.m. on Granger Road in Brooklyn Heights when officers attempted to stop a white Jeep Cherokee for driving 60 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.

Police say during the chase, the suspect "intentionally" struck a police cruiser on I-77 Northbound before exiting at Fleet Avenue. While traveling on I-77, the police observed the man hitting speeds of up to 90 MPH.

After driving on the wrong side of Martin Luther King Boulevard, the suspect crossed into the correct lane and hit the rear of a police cruiser as well as the side of an additional police cruiser, ending the pursuit.

Brooklyn Heights Police officials confirmed that no police officers were injured during the pursuit. The suspect, whose name has not been released, was taken into custody and to University Hospital for "treatment of unrelated prior injuries," according to police.
