Today we will Walk in the Streets of Certaldo, a Medieval Village which was the Hometown of Giovanni Boccaccio. I hope you will enjoy this walking tour with me!

Located halfway between Florence and Siena, perched on a hill, lies the beautiful Certaldo, the homeland of Boccaccio. Here, where the famous writer and poet was born about 700 years ago, visitors will be able to enjoy a small but perfectly preserved medieval village, with numerous buildings of historical-cultural interest and wonderful surroundings. We are in fact in the heart of Val d'Elsa, a renowned tourist area which in just a few square kilometers offers visitors unique pearls such as Monteriggioni, San Gimignano and San Miniato, which alone are worth the trip.
