In April 1989 I was fortunate to make a last, for me, trip down the remains of the branch line through to Denby from Little Eaton Junction. All of the video was shot from inside the carriages of the 'Denby Dawdler' railtour (that subsequently covered, after a run back to Derby St Mary's, the Wirksworth Branch in its entirety. The former stations at Little Eaton, Coxbench and Denby are seen as are most of the numerous level crossings. These crossings (LC) were manned especially for this railtour hence the ability to pass STOP boards without doing so. Topped 'n' tailed by Class 20 locomotives 20 114 & 20 127.
