عادَ النسرُ وفي لبنان، صارَ لنا وطنٌ وكيانْ،
ولنا النهرُ ولنا البحرُ، من آرامَ الى كنعــــانْ،
فالصحراءُ جناح النسر، وقلبُ النسرِ هُمُ السريانْ.

أشعلنا الضوءَ على الكُتُبِ، صارتْ اجراساً من ذهبِ،
عمّرنا جسراً من آثينا، الى بغداد الى الشُبِ،

وعلى انوارِ حضارتِنا، كَبُرَ الشرقُ وصار نبي.

من نَصيبينَ ومنْ حرّانْ، حملْنا الحبَ الى لبنانْ،
والرها راحتْ تنشدُهُ، وطناً للحقِ وللانسانْ،
صهلتْ خيل الفكرِ هنا، سمعَ الشرقُ صهيلَ الحصانْ،
لا يعرِفُ معنى للحرية، منْ لا يعرفُ كيفَ تُصان.

ʻAd al-nasru wa-fi Lubnan, ṣara lana waṭanun wa-kayan,
Walana n-nahru walana l-baḥru, min Aram aʻila Kanʻaan,
Faṣ-ṣaḥra u janaḥu n-nasri, wa-qalbu n-nasri humu s-Suriyan.
Wa-qalbu n-nasri humu s-Suriyan.

Ašʻalna ḍ-ḍawa ʻali l-kutubi, ṣarat ajrasan min ḏahabi,
ʻAmmarna jasran min Athina, ʻila Baġdad aʻila š-šubi,
Nabaḍat bil-ḥaqi madarisuna, falaqana al-ʻalma ʻila l-ʻArabi,
Wa ʻali anwari ḥaḍaratina, kabura š-šarqu waṣara nabī.

Min Naṣibina wa-min Ḥarran, ḥamalna al-ḥʻuba ʻila Lubnan,
Wal-Ruha rāḥat tunšiduhu, waṭan al-ḥaqi wal-ʻinsan,
Ṣahalat xayl ʻul-fikri hunā, samiʻa š-šarqu ṣahila l-ḥuṣan,
La yʻarifu mʻani l-ḥʻuriyya, min la yʻarifu kayfa tuṣan.

The eagle is back, and in Lebanon, we now have a nation and a state,
The river is ours and the sea is ours, from Aram to Canaan,
The desert is the eagle's wing, and the eagle's heart is the Syriac people.

We shed the light on the books, they became like golden bells,
We built a bridge from Athens to Baghdad to the stars,
Our schools pulsed in the truth, so we brought the science to Arabs,
And on the lights of our civilization, the East has grown up and became a young man.

From Nissibin and Harran, we bring the love to Lebanon,
And Edessa is chanting it as the nation of the truth and the human,
The horses of the thought has whinnied here, the East heard the whinny of the Horse,
