1 My second broadcast as a real radio host! Theme: BC briefing. Most songs selected were new North American releases from 2025 (new hosts are required to play 90% new music). The show covered BC's paid sick leave exemption order and SFU graduate research assistants formally unionizing to gain worker benefits, paid leave, maternity leave, strike rights, etc. After a 6-year legal battle against SFU administration, we won. This broadcast is live, airing across the Greater Vancouver area on CJSF 90.1 FM. My show time has shifted to Saturdays at 11am for one hour. I'm a radio DJ host (part-time volunteer position).
2 This is a community radio station, not a commercial one. We are encouraged to avoid playing Top 40 hits and instead focus on promoting local Canadian artists. Occasionally playing Japanese songs, Chinese songs, etc., is still acceptable! Broadcasting is in English.
