Well, anyway, here's the preview for the Hurricane Remake. The heart monitor thing is driving me nuts. It's corrupted or something and so it whines when it's chroma keyed. The sporadic effective the corruption produces is really cool! ...But it does it randomly. Some sets spazz, some sets work completely normally. TIS ANNOYING, LET ME TELL YOU.

Oh, and in case someone wonders, the wonky pixel thing is something I did consciously. As in, the clips are high-quality and then I went in and mutilated them. I wanted a really rough look and that seemed like the best course of action. :3 Note: Supposed best course of action =/= actual best course of action. Pixelating just parts of the clip takes a lot more work than I thought it would. x.x In fact, from this video, I learned a very valuable lesson: If it ain't broke, don't break it.

Editing stuff:
-If you've seen the original Hurricane, then you'll probably think this looks familiar. For whatever reason, I decided to try to stay true to the original. People seemed to like that one so I supposed it would be better to just remake it with a more defined style (meaning that there's panning on every clip. I mean, it's me, after all) rather than completely redo it.
-The timing on the heart monitor is completely off, sorry. I'll fix it in the full version, but getting those damn lines to stop jumping all over their own timeline is a pain in the ass.
-asdfhiosdf I'm going to start rendering videos in MPEG format instead of my usual WMV. It's gonna take some getting used to cause GAH, it's so smooth! I'm used to it rendering rugged and I edit according to that. Argh. I made a WMV to compare the two and it's crazy! They're like two different videos! (It's clearer, but I like my rough around the edges format... :( ) Note: I actually uploaded the WMV version, but I'll link to the MPEG in a little bit so you can see the difference if you're curious. It's nuts, man. I was going to upload the MPEG when I first wrote the description, but I changed my mind at the last minute.
-I'm really, REALLY not fond of the transition on the last two clips. I thought it would be best to have something jarring there, but now I'm not so sure. Is it too jarring? Or would something smoother be better? (An additive dissolve was there originally, but it was too much so I took it out and replaced it with the blur. Obviously, cross fades and dissolves aren't going to work here. Hrmph...) Any ideas?
-I actually find editing the chorus to be much easier than editing the regular verses in this video which is totally weird for me since I'm usually the exact opposite. xD
-Haha. I just realized that Starfire and her puppet are floating (while lying down) at about 0:55. Lolwhoops! Except that amuses me so I'm not fixing it. bwahahaimdiabolical
-Speaking of which, there's a little grey dot that snuck out from under the mask in the clip just after that. I'll make a note to fix that. (On that note, if you see anything else that I missed (like any clips that weren't full-screened for instance), please do point it out to me. I'm kinda...oblivious and there's a lot that slips past me. xD)
-I wanted to stop editing and play video games when I had about two seconds left of the video, but Rainyhart told me I wasn't allowed. :( She's mean.

This was originally supposed to be part of my preview binge--which included a mass posting of videos to show off what I've been working on. (When my head isn't buried in my java/neural networks/calculus book, anyway.) Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, I'm almost done with two of the videos that were going to be posted in the preview binge and so I just called it off since there'd only be two or three previews posted and that's lame.
