In this video NMR spectrum and origin of signal is explained. Nmr or pmr spectrum is the plot of intensity of objection versus radio frequency. Here the radio frequency is varied and magnetic field is kept constant. The radio frequency which is absorbed has maximum intensity of absorption and we obtain signal corresponding to this frequency. NMR spectrum can also be obtained by keeping radio frequency constant and varying magnetic field. The number of signals in NMR spectrum is to different sets of equivalent protons.
