Grace O'Sullivan on the sinking of the Rainbow Warrior

Newly-elected Greens senator Grace O'Sullivan has a pretty unique background for an Irish politician.

A former surfing champion, she was also a crew-member on board the Rainbow Warrior in the 1980s.

She had been given shore leave on the night French agents detonated bombs on board, as the ship sat in harbour.

Fernando Pereira, a photographer on board the Greenpeace vessel, drowned in the attack.
