Bihar: Thousands of monks, nuns from across the world participate in Tipitaka chanting in Bodh Gaya

The 18th International Tipitaka Chanting Programme started in Bihar’s Bodh Gaya on December 02. Tipitaka Chanting is being held under the Bodhi Tree at the World Heritage Mahabodhi Mahavihar till December 12. A grand procession was taken out in Bodh Gaya on the occasion of the inauguration. Thousands of monks and nuns from around the world, including India, attended the procession. Tableaux of traditional dances and music of their respective countries were also taken out by the Buddhist devotees during the procession. The procession concluded at the historic Kalachakra Maidan.
