@Copwatchtv obtained body camera footage from an agency in FL where a SECURITY officer for the U.S. State Department was arrested and accused of impersonating a police officer after ordering his German shepherd to jump on a motorist’s vehicle during a traffic confrontation in Deltona, Florida.
James Land III got into a confrontation with a man about a parking issue. Mr Land stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road, preventing the victim from continuing. The victim could not use the westbound lane because of the other vehicle on the side of the road, a report shows.
Mr Land and his retired Police K9 exited the GMC pickup and approached the motorist. They then got into an argument with each-other in the roadway. Land gave the dog a command and it jumped onto the motorist’s hood, scaring the man.
Deputies investigated the case and found enough evidence to charge Mr Land III with impersonating a police officer. His case is pending.
No word on what the retired K9 is doing but we hope he is enjoying retirement.
