Think about this truly when you doubt that anything is possible -
Humans declared many of the following “IMPOSSIBLE" and achieved it regardless:
Human flight
What was thought: “If God had meant for man to fly, He would have given him wings.”
What happened: The Wright brothers flew in 1903. Today, we have commercial jets, drones, and even jetpacks. We complain our flights are DELAYED...
Why it seemed impossible: Gravity, lack of power sources, no prior success.
Space travel, sorry may I repeat SPACE TRAVEL
Talking across oceans
Heart Surgery
Genetic Engineering
Black holes, i dont know what that is but google it
Cure to cancer (still waiting on this one), it could be YOU, or tell your kid when they ask that it could be THEM!
Heart Surgery
The lightbulb
Same gender marriage
Woman Voting
Artificial Intelligence
The list goes on and on and on.
Now use that to argue with your parents next time they say you can’t do something. Kiddingggggg don’t argue but don’t give up on people and don't walk away. Stay and listen to them, sit in the mud with them. Tell them you believe in them. Times aren’t made to be easy. Love people regardless.
Sooooooo self belief hey. If you believe in yourself to00o much you’re cocky and selfish but if you are down on yourself, you are depressed, lazy and miserable. Trying to find that balance. ALWAYS.
I want to let you know, stranger, that you can do anything in this world you put your mind to, anything. Please to your core start to believe that. Who said otherwise? Your family, your friend, that stranger, yourself! We are so hard on ourselves all of the time, apart from when we are absolutely in love with ourselves, on those rare occasions. Think we are better than anyone and do they know who they are speaking to? How dare they? Who do they think they are?
Anyway, I find I can either be on one end, of like “Yea, okay, I could maybe do that and succeed” or “Okay, I have had enough when is this going to end, I can’t do it”. Dangerous places to be either side.
I use to and sometimes do, look at “successful” people or famous people or well-known people as “Ugh, annoying can’t they just not be so good”, I had a kind of jealousy and envy that held me down and to be honest was probably contagious. I now look at them as, “Oh my gosh, they did it, maybe I could too” and as a kind of living proof, example and inspiration if you will. I enjoy seeing how far they have come, smile for them, wish they had more and don’t blame them for things I use to blame them for. I still get jealous and envy arises, I am human after all.
I hear a lot that some people think the rich are greedy and selfish, I don’t see it. Some may be at times, sure, but they are human too, they came from somewhere too, they hurt and have feelings too. If you were in their position how would you be? What would you do differently to them? Then the flip side of that some people see the poor as lazy and unworthy, that is far from the truth and we know that too. I always wish the world was more fair, but compared to what? Who determines fair? I think what’s fair is if we try do the best we can, see the good in others and empathise with the world and what we have created.
We are the humans who have made this flawed world and system. We are all to blame if we are going to do the blame game.
Try to change your perspective and believe in people. Or don't. It's up to you.
